My Story

Wooden Cry (Woody) was seized as part of a cruelty case along two stallions, Amigo, and Gulliver. Wooden Cry was severely underweight and in a general state of neglect.

Because she was with two stallions, we tested her to verify whether she was in foal. She is not. Woody is a senior mare, who has a very gentle nature. She has not been ridden yet.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is where almost all our horses and livestock start in the rescue process. Because most of our horses and livestock come in starved and neglected, our first order of business is to bring them back to good health.

Every horse, and all livestock are individuals, and their level of starvation or neglect at intake is equally individual. There is no way to know exactly how long a horse or the livestock will remain in rehabilitation. Once our animals are in good health, they become available for adoption and rehoming.
