After a career as an entrepreneur in the media and technology fields, Susan now gives her time to organizations and causes close to her heart. As a co-founder of 100+ Women Who Care Miami Beach, an alliance of local philanthropic women supporting nonprofits in Miami-Dade County, Susan was introduced to the South Florida SPCA as a volunteer day. She has been coming back ever since and now proudly wears her volunteer green shirt!
Susan currently serves as the President of the Board of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, a three-acre tropical oasis in the heart of South Beach. The Garden is a public/private partnership, owned by the City of Miami Beach and managed by the non-profit Miami Beach Garden Conservancy, offering a dynamic venue for arts and culture programming, environmental education, and cultural tourism.
In her last venture, Susan was the Founder/Editor of RE:MiamiBeach, a Beach-only focused blog and weekly newsletter that informed residents and businesses of the issues that most impacted them.
She describes herself as an entrepreneur, optimist, and advocate with the common theme of community woven in.
Susan lives with her husband, dog and rescue cat in Miami Beach (in a condo too small for a horse).
