Who we are

The South Florida Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Miami, Florida. Founded in 1992, it is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of abused, neglected and abandoned horses and other large livestock animals. The organization also educates the community about responsible animal care, animal ownership and promotes the welfare of animals through local and national advocacy. South Florida SPCA works in partnership with local law enforcement, and receives partial funding from Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS). SFSPCA’s CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) number is: South Florida SPCA Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – 13214.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Adoption Application Forms

If you fill out an adoption form, we will collect and save that information (along with your name and email) within our database for an indeterminate amount of time. We use this data when vetting applicants. This information is not used for any marketing purposes, nor is it shared or sold to any third parties.

 

Cookies

Our site sets cookies for logged in users within admin console of WordPress. WordPress also sets a test cookie to check to see if cookies are enabled on the user’s browser.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
