GLORY

Glory was found abandoned and emaciated in Kendall. The SFSPCA
provided rehabilitation, loving care and proper training so Glory can have a second
chance in life.

CRUZE & CAPPY
“Cappy and Cruze have shown me that trust is earned, progress cannot be rushed, and that even in stillness there is depth. I gave Cappy and Cruze a forever home, but they have given me so much more in return. I am blessed they chose me as their mom.”RESCUE STORY
Cruze was rescued in the Redlands while still nursing alongside his mother, and Cappy was found wandering the streets alone. Both arrived at SFSPCA in need of care and protection, where they were given the chance to heal, grow, and begin new lives filled with hope.

RIP WHEELER
“Rip is doing beautifully! He settled in straight away at the farm and is a favorite amongst everyone here, including our visitors - such as good, cuddly boy!”RESCUE STORY
Rip Wheeler was rescued after being found wandering stray in Miami-Dade, malnourished and in urgent need of care. Thanks to the time, nourishment, and attention he received at SFSPCA, he regained both his strength and spirit.

CLOWNING AROUND (EZRA)
“Ezzie is wonderful, we love him so much, our whole world goes around him. He is the most magnificent creature god has ever made.”RESCUE STORY
Clowning Around, later named Ezra by SFSPCA, was rescued after he was seen walking stray in the road. The owner was located but they ultimately surrendered him to the SFSPCA due to their inability to providing adequate care.

PEPPER
“Pepper is living his best life!!!! He’s really come a long way! He lives to hang out with his brother Hammer and has really settled in his new home!”RESCUE STORY
Pepper was reported running loose in Avocado groves– he was afraid of everyone who tried to catch him. It took SFSPCA and the Agricultural Police Unit 3 days to catch him and bring him to safety at the rescue ranch.

SHAKIRA & WINTER
“Winter and Shakira are certainly best buddies. They now get to roll, gallop and graze happily. They are a delight in our lives.”RESCUE STORY
Like so many who enter our facility, Shakira & Winter were both rescued (on separate occasions) after they were abandoned by their owners in the 8.5/East Everglades. Both were emaciated and left without food or water.

CODY
“I’m so blessed to have my heart horse at the South Florida SPCA, and for the opportunity to give her a better life”RESCUE STORY
Cody was rescued because a good samaritan reported her condition. When SFSPCA investigated, Cody was found to be in a condition of long-term neglect.

MISS TONES

Miss Tones is an Off-Track Thoroughbred (OTTB) who arrived at the SFSPCA through our accreditation with the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA). TAA is an organization whose mission is to ensure retired Thoroughbreds are safe, cared for, and given a second chance at life.

TAMI
“She loves her pasture mate, and he really loves her! I am so grateful for her!!”RESCUE STORY
Tami was found stray and wandering loose in Miami- Dade County – the poor pony was scared of everything and everyone. Ultimately owners were located, but they were not properly equipped to own her, so she became property of the South Florida SPCA.

LILY
“She's such a special girl! Lily got the gift of life, thanks to South Florida SPCA. We saved a tiny baby goat, and bottle raised her into a beautiful family member.”RESCUE STORY
Lily was rescued as an orphan baby goat, during Operation Goat (98 animals were rescued from deplorable conditions, no food, burning trash, and all suffering from various health problems) Lilly had to be bottle fed and treated for a respiratory infection. She was adopted as a family pet with her bestie Drama.

LIONEL & AMOS
“Over time, the bond shared by Lionel & Amos has never waned, and today they remain best friends!”RESCUE STORY
SFSPCA rescued Lionel and Amos from a horrific cruelty case. Found at a roadside stand living in squalor, they were among many animals being sold for religious sacrifice. Once rescued, the two terrified babies formed a strong bond. They were fortunate to find a safe haven at Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary, where they will spend the rest of their lives together as best friends.
