My Story

Peaches was rescued by the South Florida SPCA after being found wandering as a stray in SW Miami-Dade alongside her companion, Ford. With no owner coming forward to claim them, much of her past remains unknown. Peaches is closely bonded with Ford, and the two will eventually be looking for a forever home together.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is where almost all our horses and livestock start in the rescue process. Because most of our horses and livestock come in starved and neglected, our first order of business is to bring them back to good health.

Every horse, and all livestock are individuals, and their level of starvation or neglect at intake is equally individual. There is no way to know exactly how long a horse or the livestock will remain in rehabilitation. Once our animals are in good health, they become available for adoption and rehoming.
