Guests sipped delicious wines by Don Bernardino and craft cocktails by Bacardi while enjoying an array of savory bites from Leku. Mayor Danielle Levin Cava was on hand to announce the dedication of the Sally Heyman Field of Hope and Happiness presented to Commissioner Sally Heyman for her commitment to animal welfare and incredible support over the years.
The SFPCA is the only rescue in South Florida that deals with abused, neglected, and abandoned horses and livestock. For these animals, the SFSPCA is literally their only hope. Another highlight of the night was the generous $400k donation made by the Eugene Ewan Mori Foundation to help fund these amazing efforts.
In 30 years, the SFSPCA has saved over 2,500 horses, 500 cows, 600 goats, and 200 sheep. In honor of this milestone, there will be an open house at the ranch on March 25th from 12-4 pm. All are welcome to come to meet the animals and learn more about the lifesaving efforts at the South Florida SPCA.
