Dr. Wenzl is a well established emergency veterinarian in the Miami area. She received her Doctorate at Colorado State University, Ft. Collins in 1999, (GO RAMS!) specializing in equine and small animal medicine. She began her professional journey in Colorado and fostered a deep and unrelenting passion for animal welfare, rescue and medicine.
Her career has spanned both coasts of the United States, before finally settling here, in the Miami area. As an ER veterinarian she has been exposed to animal neglect and cruelty. She considers these experiences as some of the driving forces she uses to increase the depth of awareness on these issues for all animal species.
She very much enjoys the fast -pace and challenges that emergency medicine and surgery present her. When she is not solving medical mysteries and saving lives, she enjoys enthusiastic cooking, traveling the globe, winter sports and spending time relaxing at home with her four dogs and four cats on her two acre home in the Redlands.
