My Story

Broadcast Time, AKA as BT, is a Bay colored Off Track Thoroughbred. He was born in April 2015 and arrived at the ranch in March 0f 2021. He stands almost 16 hands tall.

BT is a very smart horse, who is confident and not spooky. He stands well at the mounting block, and he knows some “tricks”, (such as “Yes, and “No” and ” take a bow”), that he was taught while he was rehabilitating and waiting for his retraining to begin. His favorite gate is a walk. He is best suited for light work and trail riding.

He is not suitable for a beginner. He gets along well with other horses when turned out in a group. He is familiar with clicker training and loves to learn new behaviors. He would make a great movie horse.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is where almost all our horses and livestock start in the rescue process. Because most of our horses and livestock come in starved and neglected, our first order of business is to bring them back to good health.

Every horse, and all livestock are individuals, and their level of starvation or neglect at intake is equally individual. There is no way to know exactly how long a horse or the livestock will remain in rehabilitation. Once our animals are in good health, they become available for adoption and rehoming.

Sponsor a Rescue

Sponsoring a horse is a fantastic way to make a difference in the lives of one of our rescues. Your donation helps provide a SFSPCA rescue with feed, board, medical care (including dental &farrier), as well as rehabilitation work and training. Rescue horses typically have unique needs and can cost over $11,000 a year for one horse!
