My Story

Amigo was seized as part of a cruelty case along with another stallion, Gulliver and a Thoroughbred mare, Wooden Cry. The custody of all three horses has been awarded to the South Florida SPCA. Amigo has since been gelded.

He has started some groundwork but is a horse that will need to build trust with his rider. He is available for adoption but will need training.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is where almost all our horses and livestock start in the rescue process. Because most of our horses and livestock come in starved and neglected, our first order of business is to bring them back to good health.

Every horse, and all livestock are individuals, and their level of starvation or neglect at intake is equally individual. There is no way to know exactly how long a horse or the livestock will remain in rehabilitation. Once our animals are in good health, they become available for adoption and rehoming.
