My Story

“Dark Bay” was found abandoned on the side of the road. A good Samaritan brought her into their yard and reported her being found.

She was emaciated, caked in mud, barely able to walk due to horrible abscesses in her front feet. Her outcome is to be determined. She is currently under veterinary care.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is where almost all our horses and livestock start in the rescue process. Because most of our horses and livestock come in starved and neglected, our first order of business is to bring them back to good health.

Every horse, and all livestock are individuals, and their level of starvation or neglect at intake is equally individual. There is no way to know exactly how long a horse or the livestock will remain in rehabilitation. Once our animals are in good health, they become available for adoption and rehoming.
